All workshops can be planned very flexible. Workshops can be extended with lunch
or dinner, or with a campfire and overnight stay. Workshops can also be combined,
or at least the 'smaller' crafts like working with bones, carving spoons and
making fishing tackle. This way everyone can do something he/she enjoys.
Workshops, certainly if you return regularly, are a very good way to reflect on
yourself. We love to guide you with meaningful coaching, you can read more about that here.
Felting wool
Duration: 1 Day 10AM - ±5PM
Cost: 800 SEK pp, minimum 5 persons
Suitable for: 16 and up, some strength and stamina required.

Warmth is indispensible living in nature. In this workshop you make your own
blanket from sheep wool. You have to love the smell of sheep, and the result
is undoubtedly beautiful!
Carving a Kuksa
Duration: 1 Day, 9AM - ±5PM
Cost: 500 SEK pp, minimum 5 persons
Suitable for: 12 and up, we'll use sharp tools.

A kuksa is a traditional Scandinavion wooden drinking cup. Traditionally a kuksa is
made for someone else... but this one you're allowed to take home with you.
It lookse easier than it is, and for some it's easier than for others. Depending
on how far you get, you can make it as pretty as you want. And of course you can
continue working on your kuksa at home!
Carving a spoon
Duration: Half a day, 9AM - 12PM or 1PM - 4PM
Cost: 250 SEK pp, minimum 5 persons
Suitable for: 12 and up, we'll use sharp tools.

A spoon is a nifty thing, and fun to make! It's not a lot of work, so you'll
have a quick result. We're only planning half a day, but sometimes it's not
finished by the end of the workshop. That's no problem, it's fun to finish
your spoon at home! Or book a good lunch and be sure to finish your spoon.
Although we do not guarantee you'll return home with a spoon...
Box of Birch Bark
Duration: Half a day, 9AM - 12PM or 1PM - 4PM
Cost: 350 SEK pp, minimum 5 persons
Suitable for: All ages.

Of course keeping things for later is always handy. This box of birch bark
is pretty, not difficult to make and it's a fun thing to create. The thread
and yarn is also made by hand, this time with readily available material, but
rope materials can be made from any fibrous material.
Making fire
Duration: Half a day, 9AM - 12PM or 1PM - 4PM
Cost: 250 SEK pp, minimum 5 persons

Making fire is essential in nature. In this workshop we don't use lighters
matches or other artificial means. We'll learn what tinder can be used and
how you make a fire from a small spark or flame. We'll do this with flint
and steel, and if we're succesful with a firebow. Success is not guaranteed!

This workshop is of course fun to combine with cooking over a campfire. Then
we'll make this workshop a whole day.
Knots and lashings
Duration: Half a day, 9AM - 12PM or 1PM - 4PM. A whole day is also possible.

Did you ever make your own family swing? Or observation tower? Or a Roman
catapult? It's possible! This is a fun day to build a nice construction
with wooden poles and rope. You'll learn the basics of knots and the system
behind lashings. There is plenty of time to try and learn a variety of knots,
or to try some more complex techniques.
Even larger constructions can be made, or a game element can be added. Then
this workshop is a lot of fun even for a full day!
Navigation and orientation
Duration: Half a day, 9AM - 12PM or 1PM - 4PM. A whole day is also possible.

Maps are very intriguing, and what is better to find your own way with a good
map and compass to something curious on the map. In this workshop you'll learn
what you can see on a topographic staff map, how to use a compass and a number
of routing techniques. At the same time we navigate consciously through our
surroundings, so we have an eye for everything there is to see and what nature
has to offer: Nutritious and healing plants, animal tracks, different species
of vegetation and numerous observations.
Cooking over a woodfire
Duration: Afternoon and evening, 1PM - ±8PM or later. Overnight stay can be booked additionally.

Cooking over a fire is an experience! We're using heavy Dutch Ovens, in which
we can prepare delicious courses and side dishes. The technique of cooking over
a fire is different from cooking on a stove, and meanwhile the fire has to keep
burning. So: Chopping wood, keeping an eye on the fire, preparing ingredients,
cooking, full attention required. And above all, it's a fun group activity,
for family or friends. We recommend to stay, perhaps for the night, and have
a good time around the fire.
Making cheese
Duration: Half a day, 9AM - 12PM or 1PM - 4PM.

Making chees is a way to conserve the nutritious ingredients of milk for a
long time. It's a very interesting process, in which the components play a
complex interplay. We can make the following with the milk:
Buttermilk and butter
Soft cheese
Hard cheese
The milk comes straight from a near-by farm. On your way back home you can
almost point out the cow who produced the milk, it doesn't get more pure!
Basket weaving
Duration: Half a day, 9AM - 12PM or 1PM - 4PM.
Cost: 350 SEK pp, minimum 5 persons

Baskets are obviously useful for storage and bring on the road. Weaving
baskets can be done with different materials, and we work with willow
branches. Every participant makes his own basket, and if you need more time
to finish, you're welcome to take home additional materials to finish.
Making fishing tackle
Duration: Half a day, 9AM - 12PM or 1PM - 4PM.
Cost: 250 SEK pp, minimum 5 persons

Fishing is a reliable and relatively easy way to gather food. On top of that,
it's a fun and peaceful activity, and it's very satisfying to catch your own
fish.
During this workshop we're making a primitive fishing rod, with a small chamber
to keep your spare hooks. The hooks we'll make as well, and we'll learn the technique
to mend fishing nets.
Working bones
Duration: Half a day, 9AM - 12PM or 1PM - 4PM.
Cost: 250 SEK pp, minimum 5 persons
Suitable for: 12 and up
Max. participants: 8
Bones can be used for all kinds of purposes. The most straightforward tool is
perhaps to make needles. But also knives, fishing hooks, spear tips and other
tools can be made from bones.
Coiling
Duration: Half a day, 9AM - 12PM or 1PM - 4PM.
Cost: 250 SEK pp, minimum 5 persons
Suitable for: Vanaf 8 jaar.
Max. participants: 8
Baskets, lids, hats.
With all workshosp, coffee, thee and snacks and of course all material and tools are
included. If the workshop is longer than half a day, lunch is also included. If the
workshop is until after 6PM, dinner is also included. In mutual agreement, a lot can
be arranged.
Furthermore minors have to be accompanied by adults, maximum two minors per adult. For
families with many children and scouting groups we make exceptions.
